Dr. Amy Flaster serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of The Cigna Group® and is a member of the company’s Enterprise Leadership Team. In this role, she leads the company’s clinical strategy across both Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth, advancing clinical excellence, fostering innovative care models, strengthening and scaling clinical teams, and leveraging technology to enhance experience and outcomes for customers, patients, and providers.
Prior to her appointment as Chief Medical Officer of The Cigna Group, Dr. Flaster served as Chief Medical Officer of Cigna Healthcare, where she led clinical strategy for the U.S. Employer and Individual and Family Plans businesses. She also partnered closely with the company’s International Health business and collaborated across the enterprise to develop clinical solutions that improved value, quality, and health outcomes for customers.
Before joining The Cigna Group, Dr. Flaster was Chief Medical Officer at ConcertoCare, a national, value‑driven, home‑based care organization, where she directed clinical strategy and clinical product development. Earlier in her career, she led population health at Health Catalyst, supporting providers and health plans nationwide in their transition to value‑based care. She also held leadership roles at Mass General Brigham in Massachusetts, leading the system’s Medicare, Medicaid, and employee health programs.
Dr. Flaster earned both her M.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She continues to serve as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and as an Associate Physician in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she actively practices primary care. In addition, Dr. Flaster serves on the Board of Directors of The Cigna Group Foundation, helping guide the company’s philanthropic efforts to advance community health and well‑being.
