Josh Michelson

Josh Michelson serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for The Cigna Group^®. In this role, Michelson is responsible for guiding the company’s long-term strategic direction, corporate innovation and the company’s venture capital arm, The Cigna Group Ventures.

Most recently, Michelson served as Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, where he shaped and advanced the company’s enterprise strategy and transformation agenda and oversaw management operations and enablement.

Since joining The Cigna Group in 2020, Michelson also served as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation, where he led key enterprise change initiatives, and as Head of Enterprise Strategy, where he helped define the company’s multi-year vision, growth strategy and priorities across Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services.

Prior to joining The Cigna Group, Michelson was a senior partner at the global management consulting firm, Oliver Wyman, where he specialized in Health & Life Sciences and co-led the Oliver Wyman Health Innovation Center. He has two decades of experience advising healthcare organizations on corporate strategy, enterprise transformations and M&A.

Michelson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
