Executive Vice President and Chief Data, Digital and AI Officer

Katya Andresen serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Data, Digital and AI Officer at The Cigna Group® and is a member of the Enterprise Leadership Team. In this role, she leads data commercialization, digital, advanced analytics, enterprise AI strategy, The Lab by Evernorth, the Evernorth Research Institute, and customer experience innovation across the enterprise.
Since joining The Cigna Group in 2021, Andresen has played a key role in advancing the use of data, analytics and AI to deliver more personalized, transparent, and affordable health care experiences for customers, clients, and providers.
Prior to joining the company, Andresen drove experience innovation in financial services as a Senior Vice President at Capital One, where she led an integrated, end-to-end customer experience strategy across key touchpoints. Prior to joining Capital One, she served in executive roles for mission-focused technology companies, as Chief Executive Officer of the education technology company Cricket Media, and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of Network for Good, a payments platform and SaaS enterprise solution for digital giving and social actions that was founded by AOL, Yahoo! and Cisco. Earlier in her career, Andresen was a foreign correspondent for Reuters News and Television in Asia and for Associated Press and major U.S. newspapers in Africa.
Andresen serves on the Board of Directors of Wiley (NYSE: WLY), a global leader in research and learning. Additionally, she serves on the advisory board for the Morrison Center for Marketing and Data Analytics at UCLA Anderson School of Management, which advances the application of marketing and data science insights in business and academia. Andresen guest lectures at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and has served as an adjunct professor in the American University Key Executive Leadership Program.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Haverford College.
