Recognizing our Employees’ Commitment to Serve Others

The Cigna Group recognizes employee volunteerism in the following ways:

  • We offer an annual benefit for employees to use up to eight hours of paid time away to volunteer on their own with a cause that is personal and meaningful to them.
  • We offer a monetary donation in the employee’s name when they participate in consistent volunteerism with eligible nonprofits.

Building Healthier Communities

Healthy communities don’t just happen. They are created and cared for by those who live there.

Delivering The Fun

Colleagues assembled summer game bags for local Boys & Girls Club chapters to use as part of their summer programming, a crucial offering for children who often don’t have anywhere else to go. The activity boxes included balls and goals, art easels and chalk, and hula hoops and play tables for water and sand.

Creating Comfort for Veterans

Colleagues in our Connecticut headquarters joined Salute, our veteran-focused enterprise resource group, to make dozens of quick-tie blankets for homeless veterans in partnership with Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit dedicated to providing aid, comfort, and resources to the military, veterans, and their families.

Providing a Safe Place to Play

In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, technology colleagues built two playhouses, which were delivered to local Connecticut families to give their children a safe and fun place to play at home.
