Kari Knight Stevens joined The Cigna Group® in 2013 and serves as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. In that role, she shapes the company’s talent strategy, aligning workforce capabilities with evolving business needs, and fostering a culture of engagement and inclusion across a global employee base of over 60,000. She is also responsible for the programs, practices, and policies that drive employee engagement to help attract, retain, and develop the pivotal talent needed for today and tomorrow. Additionally, she leads the company’s Corporate Impact efforts.
Prior to her role as Chief Human Resources Officer at The Cigna Group, Kari served as Corporate Secretary and Chief Counsel, providing strategic legal guidance to the company’s Board of Directors and HR leadership on enterprise workforce matters.
Before joining The Cigna Group in 2013, Kari practiced law at Blank Rome LLP. Kari has been recognized as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer magazine and received the Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders in Philadelphia.
Kari earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science from Boston College, and her Juris Doctorate from the Temple University School of Law. Kari remains actively engaged with her alma mater through her service on the Boston College Philadelphia Alumni Chapter board and is a dedicated supporter of the Gift of Life program. She also serves on the board of Eluna, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, teens, and families impacted by grief or addiction.
