We are committed to earning, building, and maintaining the trust of our many stakeholders. To us, that means going beyond what is legally required to truly make a difference. It means meeting consistent standards of integrity in everything that we do. We promote resilient business practices and ethical behavior, including a responsible supply chain and strong data protection policies. Our governance structure provides oversight, accountability, and successful outcomes across our enterprise.

What We're Doing

Leadership and Accountability

We believe that strong corporate governance provides the foundation for financial integrity and shareholder confidence. Our Corporate Governance Guidelines set forth the key governance principles that guide the Board of Directors.

Business Ethics and Compliance

Earning, building, and maintaining the trust of our customers, clients, employees, business partners, and regulators is critical to the success and sustainability of our business.

Data Protection

We collect, store, and process a high volume of sensitive data and understand the importance of securing personal information and maintaining a robust and agile data protection program.

Responsible Supply Chain

As we drive sustainability across our operations, we look to ensure that our indirect supply chain and direct supply chain embody our corporate impact and sustainability aspirations and commitments.

Human Rights Statement

While national governments bear the primary responsibility for upholding human rights, we strive to protect human rights through our practices and policies and by complying with the laws of the countries in which we do business.

Lobbying Activity and Political Contributions

Government relations are nonpartisan and intended to be constructive, principle based, and solution oriented at The Cigna Group®.

Where We're Going

We have a deep and long-held commitment to strong governance as well as ethical and resilient business practices—and we hold our suppliers to the same standards. We continue to use EcoVadis, a third-party management tool, to comprehensively assess our suppliers’ sustainability business practices.

We achieved our initial goal of $1 billion in annual total spend with small and underrepresented suppliers two years ahead of schedule, and then expanded that aspiration to $1.6 billion in spend in 2025. In 2024, we surpassed this aspiration, growing our spend approximately 38 percent compared to 2023.
