Our corporate impact and sustainability vision at The Cigna Group® is to transform the ecosystem of health into one that is well-functioning, sustainable, accessible, and equitable—advancing better health for all.
This vision is an extension of our enterprise mission to improve the health and vitality of those we serve and is reflected in our values and how we work together every day. Our commitment to this vision guides us in our multidimensional sustainability framework and strategy as we strive to meet the needs of our many stakeholders.
Based on the results of our priority assessment, we identified our corporate impact and sustainability focus areas and organized them under the four pillars of our framework.
Annually, we publish our Corporate Impact Report in which we share progress from the prior calendar year. Our report is aligned to the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Managed Care and Professional and Commercial Services Industry Standards. It also references the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and leverages elements of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards, which incorporates the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). The report also serves as our Communication on Progress as a member of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact.
